Group C World Cup Russia 2018 Most Important players
This seems a very interesting Group to follow in the World Cup. Even though it looks like an easy Group it might not be that easy. Having the European sides Denmark and France which are expected to highly progress, but can we say the same for Australia and Peru. Peru, ranked 11th while the Australians will be no pushovers as well. Let’s find out what are the most important players in Group C World Cup Russia 2018.
#1 Antoine Griezmann – France
Griezmann ended up as the top scorer at Euro 2016.
He is hard-working and energetic player who offers quality in his game, dribbling abilities along with the pace he has. That’s a great mixture that sets him apart in this talented and young French team.
The Atletico Madrid forward is a hard-working player with a touch of versatility while he’s running at defenders, and behind them, as a second striker to the target man, Giroud. Along with Giroud, they make a very reliable and strong forward line for France.
#2 Paolo Guerrero – Peru
The captain of Peru is an all-time leading goal scorer for Peru and will be the strongest point of every attack they’ll plan. Guerrero undoubtedly will show his strength in the air and set-piece taking ability which can be vital for Peru this year.
Guerrero is a real leader on the pitch and we should expect that his combination with Farfan will make the most of their adventure in Russia. Due to cocaine ban the captain almost missed the chance to beat the Cup but thankfully for the Peruvians, the ban was appealed and reduced.
#3 Christian Eriksen – Denmark
By scoring the outstanding hat-trick against the Republic of Ireland he ensured the Danes with the participation in the World Cup for the fifth time. Thanks to Christian Eriksen, Denmark secured the last European Qualification spot.
He is the maestro of being in the middle of the park and having a superb vision of well-planed strikes and passing abilities. Expect Eriksen to score goals for Age Hareide’s squad in Russia. He finished the qualifications with 11 goals, second only to Lewandowski. Definitely more expectations to come.
#4 Mile Jedinak – Australia
Mile Jedinak ensured Australia to book their ticket to Russia by scoring a hat-trick against Honduras.
Adding his presence, his abilities for set-pieces it’s very easy to understand why he is Australia’s best player in Russia. Mile Jedinak is imposing and strong midfielder, by pacing and patrolling the midfield.
Jedinak and Mooy will be very strong players for Australia, so there will be a good game for sure.
